3HK is finally showing some “signs” of iPhone, but where are the details?  They are really testing my patience.  And I don’t think they are going to announce anything two weeks before the official launch. 

Finally watched the documentary Helvetica, and it was informative and fruitful.  Not only you get the story behind Helvetica, but also opinions from both side – those love and hate Helvetica.  Seriously, if you look around, Helvetica is everywhere.  But did you know that it has been around since 1957?  After all these years, it is still modern, like the documentary described, it is so neutral, so clean, so tightly designed; it fits in so easily that it can hang around for a long period of time.  Sometimes, we just take it for granted, and forgot how much work have been done to create this modern typography.  So, if you have not seen the documentary, go check it out on DVD/Blue-ray, you will not be disappointed.

iPhone 3G have finally announced, in fact, Hong Kong is one of the first 22 launching countries on July 11.  Seriously, I have been waiting for this for over a year now, what a long wait!  Even though we can get the first generation iPhone through the black market, but as an Apple fan, I really can’t put myself to purchase a jailbreaking product; it’s just too frustrating to jailbreak it again whenever there is a new firmware update!

So, what’s new here?  Well, it looks nearly the same, but it’s faster, lighter, thinner with more curve on the back, and most of all, GPS is included.  What about MMS?  I don’t care, I never send one in my life, I will send it by e-mail instead.  What about the camera, 2M only?  Oh good enough for me, I only take snap shots, and I have a way-better-true-camera with me.  2M?  No problem.  What about video cam?  It’s just a matter of software update.  It would be nice to include such feature, but even if they have it, I dare say I wouldn’t use it much.  All I care is fast connection, push e-mail service, Google Maps with GPS and the App Store!  All these will do me good already.  But I am shocked Apple is selling it in such a low price – US$199 for 8G (in black only) and US$299 for 16G (in black and white)!  I wonder how much the service plan is going to from 3HK, maybe I should get a new phone number just for iPhone! Haha…

Oh~ what’s more is that, Apple is going to upgrade their .Mac service to MobileMe.  As a .Mac user, this is great news!  It comes with iDisk, push e-mail, push calender, push address, all can be sync in the air! Awesome!

We did VM lighting the other day. It kinda freaked us out a little but, because we didn’t know what the box was like exactly. Though it turned out fine, but I think something was missing here and there. 

I am no regular blogger. Believe me. This is the “N” times I have re-start my blog. You know all-over-again. The thing is, I do have much to say, but I am not a good storyteller, and I am too secretive. What’s going to happen here is a big unknown. So, let’s see what’s coming then. I am not good at making predictions, but hell, it’s my blog, I can whatever I want to it! Huh! (But then I kinda pity myself, as Chinese say “no-face-see-people” now! Haha…)
